Thyroid cancer: The most common type of cancer associated with radiation exposure is thyroid cancer. In your case 3 cts is minimal exposure. The incidence of thyroid cancer reported with exposure to cts is 2%. If you are concerned about future cts ask your physician what other options you may have other then a ct scan.
