Try to understand...: There is hard scientific evidence that smoking increase your chances for bad crippling disease (copd, heart disease, cancer, etc). It also ages you quicker. It is a very expensive habit and those who do not do it think it stinks. Not to mention that many establishments have forbidden it. But, if it is something you must do then accept the reality that you may have these things by your choice.

Truly bad for you: Growing up, you were told that all kinds of fun things are horrible -- ice cream, burgers, shoot-em-up movies, beer, fried chicken, soda pop, popular music, donuts, cussing, even the normal experiences of becoming a man. You probably figured out that the dangers, if real, were at least sometimes exaggerated. Cigs are different -- the bad things you've heard are actually true. Please try to quit.
