A community clinic: Is the reason for not wanting the to pay "$100" is lack pf funds? In many communities there are free or low cost clinics run by volunteers. Many doctors feel satisfaction in providing free or low cost care to those in financial need. They are usually not reimbursed, or if paid anything, it is much less than the value of their service. The care can be very good.
