It is more: likely than not that a "lump" on the labia at your age (17) is due to a small sebaceous cyst or other BENIGN situation (I am also assuming no sexual activity!!) Hope this helps BTW You should seek out a female Health Care Provider if going to your GP (male?) makes you uncomfortable!! Dr Z
