Big picture: Whoa. C-reactive protein often runs high for no obvious reason; it's at best an adjunct in evaluation atherosclerosis risk. "small intestinal bacterial overgrowth" is a fairly uncommon though real situation in evidence-based medicine, and a "pop / fad" diagnosis in people who simply do not feel well, often because the dis-tress of a difficult life situation. Don't accept a non-evidence-based dx.
