Could: Reflux attacks can result in soreness as the burning starts to abate. It also can cause coughing. If symptoms persist seek professional help.

Not exactly: Gerd causes an inflamed esophageal ( heartburn and sometimes esoph spasm) but not cold symptoms, except, when the stomach acid goes up the esophagus and down the trachea into the lungs and causes cough.

Good day Dr, for over a year I have been having upper back pains and chest pains, along with sore throats and it is sometimes hard to swallow food, is this might be GERD ?
