Pain is main issue: Don't know how long it has been since lumbar puncture, but likely the rent will heal over 6-8 weeks. The blood patch may be useful if only several days to a week or two, but longer out, may not be as potent. Still, if option, might employ. Usually main issue is immobilization due to head pain, and low spinal fluid pressure.

Likely unrelated: The only neurological effect likely from a dural puncture is that of a headache. Rarely, these headaches can last months but usually resolve within days, even without a blood patch. If you are having other neurological symptoms, an evaluation by a neurologist should be sought.
