Would reaction to a food cause only one hive? prone to hives but confused if i'm reacting. no food alrgy history but had 1 hive after strawbry smoothy

Probable not common: Just one hive, may be an insect bite! food allergy causes more , as well depends where was the hive? Was it around the mouth, in oral allergy syndrome, allergic reaction is confined to the mouth, if prone 2 hives it can be a type of urticaria, a condition different from food allergies, just be careful to avoid foods that induced an allergic reaction before.
