Partial prob.: At your knee arthroscopy if the meniscus has any healing potential then your ors can 'fix it' thru the scope.Your tear pattern is unfortunately not one that lends itself to repair.Tears in the peripheral1/3 of the meniscus have the best blood supply and are amenable for repair.Since yours is not(apparently) in this region it will most likely require partial meniscectomy.Good luck.Get photos...

Partial meniscectomy: Most tears in this region have poor blood supply and likely will not heal, even if sewn back together. Partial meniscectomy will give the fastest, most reliable result, with fe long term implications. Timing not that critical.
