A member asked:

If you are rexposed to the same bacterium while you are on anti-biotics for the initial infection, is it necessary to restart the treatment?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not: But it would be helpful if you were more specific. What was the organism? How were you exposed? What was the infection?, and so on and so on. Generally the organism would be treated or prevented from causing further problems by the presence of the antibiotic.
