Good chance: A torn meniscus classically will lock up the knee from time to time with an occasional popping. It is best to get evaluated if this is happening since it rarely gets better on ts own and can speed up damage to the cartilage of the knee and lead to early arthritis. An MRI will confirm the clinical diagnosis and surgery is often indicated.
