Surgical: Moles that are raised and unsightly yo yhe patient can be removed by shaving them off or excising them. One should be aware that shaving off a mole still leaves a part of the mole in the dermis and over time it can again grow, shaving a mole does not eliminate the potential for skin cancer. If concerned about cancer risk the mole should be completely excised.
