If i took ex-lax after being constipated, is it normal to still feel like i "have to go" even after i just took a huge poop?

Caused by ex-lax: Medications like ex-lax work. The problem is they can work too well. That is why you are pooping even when empty. As long as the medication is in your body you will get the signal to poop. It will wear off. In the future try a mild medication like senna and colace (docusate sodium). Or just drink plenty of water and walk a lot. Hope this helps.
