A member asked:

Is it normal to have cramps and missed period but test are negative?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Perimenopause: Uterine cramps can be caused by having fibroids or other intrauterine pathology. Missed periods are common for your age group since its considered perimenopause. A pregnancy test can be negative at the begining.Always consider pregnancy if suspected. You should have an ultrasound and lab workup to rule out medical conditions.
