No: no such thing as a dry socket, it is a false term that was put in place decades ago. Now is it possible for you to lose the extraction clot/stitches and have food get into the site or have issues even though you have stitches = Yes. General rule: stitches or not you still need to take care of it, do warm salt water rinses and manage pain/inflammation. If you have issues have it looked at.
