Is it possible for you to get a negative pregnancy test 3 weeks after conception?

Terminology: Conception is said to occur when the sperm fertilizes the ovum. However, the fertilized ovum may not implant or may be lost soon after implantation. In short pregnancy test may be negative despite conception having taken place 3 weeks earlier, if the fertilized ovum does not implant successfully.
