NOT REALLY...: Regional/local lymph nodes can be affected resulting in swelling, pain, hot and tender. These are, pre-auricular, post -auricular, sub-occipital, posterior cervical groups. Lymph nodes are the part of immune system, catch bacteria, kill them and after sometime come back to normal size. If bad infection, lymph nodes can become purulent. Armpit lymph nodes are far away to be involved.
