Does ginger induse menstruation ?

TCM: Ginger root has been used in traditional chinese medicine to induce menstruation that is delayed. It has also been used in the treatment of excessively heavy periods. Recommend that you consult with an alternative medicine physician if considering use of high dose ginger to induce period. I always advise patients to also discuss use of herbals with their primary medical provider.
