It can cause it.: Doxycycline in a broad spectrum antibiotic that not only stops bad bacteria, but also the good ones that maintain an environment that is hostile to yeast. Most likely, the antibiotic is likely what contributed to the cause of a yeast infection. I treat my patients with infection with an anti-fungal agent.
