What age does a person become a geriatric?

See below: There are no correct answers about the starting age for a geriatric patient. I have younger patients who are now at the nursing home residents. I also have younger home bounded patients who suffers ms, parkinson's and advanced cancer.

Difficult question: To answer! i've had pt's over the age of 85 tell me that your only as old as you feel, thus they didn't consider themselves geriatric, even though i did.

Second half of life: Our Institute markets to patients as young as 50 under the principle that the earlier we start planning for geriatric years, the more golden they will be!
