I was wondering are phlebothrombosis and thrombophlebitis the same?

Acute and chronic.: Phlebothrombosis is a clot in a vein and thrombophlebitis is a clot in a vein which then becomes inflamed. Phlebothrombosis tends to be chronic while thrombophlebitis tends to be acute. Thrombophlebitis can become phlebothrombosis.
