Weeks: Kenalog (triamcinolone) is a depot form of steroid. It is designed to slowly release steroids over the course of a couple of weeks.

Kenalog/Local Anesth: You must have had an injection to treat pain. The steroid is much stronger. It will help reduce inflammation over the next 10days. It may be necessary to have additional injections to resolve your pain. Lidocaine/marcaine are short to moderate length local anethestics. They will not have much effect after a few hours.

Variable: Depends what exactly it is treating. It can last a few days to several months.
