Yes: After cmc arthoplasty catching and snapping w/ motion of the digits is a normal phenomenon . If it becomes painful or more persistent contact your doctor.

May be normal but: Usually a painless snap is not a concern. But you should point this out to your doctor.It may be a tendon slipping over bone. The possibilities are different, depending on the type of arthroplasty you had. You should ask the surgeon rather than your regular doctor about this.
