Sounds like that: The findings of protrusion of firm or soft tissue after defecation along with resolution of those protrusions after some period of time, is consistent with hemorrhoids at your age. Older female patients can present with rectal prolapse. The treatment is stool softeners in the form of dietary or supplemental fiber, fluids (water) and exercise (walking). If they persist, they can be removed.
