Low fat diet: Your gallbladder stores bile. When you eat fatty foods or fried foods the gallbladder secretes the bile to break the foods down. So if you want to keep your gallbladder happy avoid foods high in saturated fats and fried foods. Eat a healthy diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables.

Remove it :-): Short answer, recurring gb symptoms are best treated by removal. Short of that, avoidance of fatty or greasy foods can often keep symptoms at bay, but in many cases, anything can trigger an attack. I've used Dicyclomine and hydrocodone in cases where surgery must be put off for a bit with varying degrees of success of symptomatic relief, but most patients do bets with removal.
