Possible : The IV contrast provides imaging of blood flow into kidneys and will detect blockages, aneurysms, asymmetric flow, mass, structural problems. Lab draw and renal panel provide functional information on how your kidneys are performing as filters. Your doc will want to follow up with you after all the studies are complete to give you results. The IV contrast itself can be damaging to your kidney.

Only for trauma: Ct can show physical kidney damage (such as trauma, stabbing, etc.). It can show evidence of chronic kidney disease if they have shrunk and become atrophic over a long period of time. May show obstruction. But, it will not show functional kidney damage. In fact, if there is a question of functional problems, giving IV contrast can worsen renal function. (this does not apply to oral contrast.).
