Several things: Estrogens are often elevated due to ovarian cysts or can be naturally elevated at midcyle. Fsh elevations are usually due to diminished ovarian reserve, meaning the eggs are becoming depleted, though fsh can also be elevated at midcycle. Tumors can cause these hormones to be elevated but that is very rare.
