Nothing special: Make sure you get fit test and not the old fobt. Fit is way more sensitive to detect human hemoglobin and it's not affected by diet.

Red meat: Usually avoiding red meat for a week is sufficient, the routine, commonly used test does not differentiate between human and animal blood. There are tests that do but not sure which your doctor will use.
