See below: This is called "post-tussive" vomiting, or after coughing vomiting and is not a worrisome issue as long as the child is well hydrated and not having breathing problems. The cough with mucous triggers the gag reflex and vomiting can occur. If this has been going on for more than 2 weeks, then get the child seen by their doctor.
