Challenging cases: Some biopsy findings are clear-cut. Some are challenging. There are biopsy findings which sometimes are difficult to classify, so pathologists will do additional testing, apply different chemical stains to the tissues in question, to try and discover the correct interpretation of the tissue. This can take time. It tries one's patience to wait, but the accuracy is worth the wait time.
