Left side pain: Assuming you have seen your medical doctor and have ruled out any medical and orthopedic issues, your pain could be the result of chronic bruxism ( grinding and/or clenching the teeth) and stress. See your dentist for a thorough examination and x-rays, and evaluation of your bite and tmj. You might also look into a sleep study for sleep apnea.

Not typical of TMJ: Your description is not typical of dental mediated problems. That said, have your dentist check you to rule out clenching, grinding, malocclusion, abscess, gum infection. Ask physician to evaluate for non-dental issues. Multiple possible causes for this type of pain distribution. Evaluation by ENT may be in order.
