Makes little sense: It really makes no sense to take both forms of systemic corticosteroids at the same time.

Steroids: Prednisone and methylprednisolone are not exactly the same in their effects. It is possible that the prednisone is supplementing a different steroid effect than that provided by methylprednisolone. Please discuss with your doctor, especially if the meds are coming from different doctors.
