It is always hurts: To fail. If you do not like what you are studying it is harder to study and do well. Some subjects are necessary to get to those that you enjoy. Get help if a subject is required and you are not doing well. Find a tutor or study with a friend. Work as hard as you can and then you will not feel guilty. Ask the teacher for additional help. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

A question: Are you doing your best? If so, failing should not produce guilt. If you feel guilty, it is likely that you could do better, but choose not to. This only hurts you and your esteem.
