Maybe healing, but: Possible sign of rein nervation and peripheral sprouting, but may be indicative of postoperative inflammation or early scarring. Contact your physician if this persists.

Probably normal: Particularly if you had a severe carpal tunnel syndrome, this may just be a sign of the nerve having started to recover and regenerate. Not sure what ultrasound would accomplish.
