LGV: Lymphogranuloma venereum can cause a variety of ocular complications, including iritis, and this may actually occur years after the initial illness.

Not a known cause: Lymphogranuloma venereum (LGV) itself is not known to cause iritis. In the US, LGV currently is fairly common among men who have sex with other men, but virtually absent in women and straight men. However, any type of chlamydia (including LGV) rarely can trigger reactive arthritis, which in turn sometimes is associated with iritis. Iritis alone is theoretically possible but very unlikely.
