Yes: Ativan (lorazepam) is an anxiolytic (antianxiety medication). 0.25 is a low dose, but it should be helpful with anxiety. Depending upon how long you have been taking it and your pattern of dose it should be safe to discontinue. However, you should not discontinue a a medication without talking to the prescriber.
