Can be related: Individuals with adhd may have problems with processing, such as an auditory processing problem, or it may be related to the difficulty with attention and not really getting all of the information in the first place. There are tests to determine if there is more that one issue. A stimulant medication which will likely help straightforward adhd may not completely address processing difficulties.

Yes!: Slow processing speed is the result of inefficiency at the executive cortical level (brain manager). Assuming normal intelligence, needing more time to accomplish a task is typical of adhd patients. This is also seen in people with learning disabilities, so a doctor's judgement is needed to determine which is the cause.
