There are tests to determine if there is more that one issue. A stimulant medication which will likely help straightforward adhd may not completely address processing difficulties.

Yes!: Slow processing speed is the result of inefficiency at the executive cortical level (brain manager). Assuming normal intelligence, needing more time to accomplish a task is typical of adhd patients. This is also seen in people with learning disabilities, so a doctor's judgement is needed to determine which is the cause.
