Yes they can: Extreme anxiety can cause all kinds of physical symptoms, including dizziness. However, if this is the first time you've experienced this kind of vertigo (room spinning, losing balance) you really need a medical evaluation to be sure. Other things can cause dizziness too. Please see your physician about this. Be well.

Dizziness and anxiet: Dizzy spells can very well be caused by anxiety. Anxiety usually leads to hyperventilation which in turn can lead to dizziness. If there are other causes, then more history is needed.

Only during panic: Otherwise, if it is occurring at other times, see your family doctor or an ENT doctor to evaluate your balance difficulties, taking your history and examining you should let them tell whether it is something going on in your inner ear or whether it is coming from a neurologic condition. Dizziness, vertigo, and reversible gait instability have been reported with prilosec. Perhaps a different med?

DIZZY: Yes, but 1st have a physical exam by a Neurologist to determine if you have a physical illness. If cleared, consult with a Clinical Psychologist for psychotherapy to help you with ZOOM and a Psychiatrist for medication. Your fears and anxiety could be heightened because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Stay safe, cautious & hold on to hopefulness to elevate your immune system
