Bacterial Vaginosis: Bacterial vaginosis may occur when there is an imbalance of unhealthy ; healthy vaginal bacteria. Some risk factors include douching, women having sex with women, having multiple sex partners or a new sex partner as well as having inadequate lactobacilli bacteria in the vagina.
