A few ideas: Sometimes a woman has a low level bacterial infection of the uterine lining called endomyometritis. This infection doesn't cause fever, but can cause excessive discharge. A uterine biopsy as well as testing for chlamydia/gonorrhea of the cervix is warranted. Some doctors avoid biopsy and do a trial treatment with doxycycline. Other ideas would be chronic vaginitis caused by bacteria or yeast.
