CLOSE TO ENOUGH:: You didn't mention his birth or current wt. If weighs 8 pounds, need will be 500-600 ml/day. If growing well with 50 ml/ 3 hours, this is ok. How about you try to feed every 2 1/2 hours? Remember, if you are mentally prepared and try your best, eat healthy and enough, you will make more. If slow weight gain, can give supplementary formula for few days. Check his weight gain in next ped visit.
