Can be age related: Some pain is osteoarthritis (joint inflammation) caused by years of wear and tear on the body or it may be because of injury. Some early morning pain and stiffness is muscular. Before starting any exercises consult your doctor. Your doctor may do blood tests and x-rays to rule out dangerous causes. Often morning gentle stretching (like yoga) is helpful.
