Yes!!!: Hydrocodone is a narcotic painkiller and is related to morphine, heroin and codeine. Very addictive in those using it daily for long periods of time (can happen in a few weeks). However, if you need a strong painkiller after surgery or dental work for a few days it is ok. Often narcotics have several effects: fatigue, confusion, unable to think or drive well, nausea and constipation.
