Could b hernia: Focal area of recurring, intermittent pain could be a hernia. The location is junction of the lateral rectus sheath and obliques, which is where spegalian hernias occur. These are hard to diagnose due to the anatomic complexity here. When the pain comes mark the spot with ink pen, relax your abdominal wall to see if the pain goes away. Ultrasound might help get a diagnosis. Be well.

Doesn't sound: Like appendix . Muscle spasms a possibility if you have strained yourself. If it continues see your pcp.
