A member asked:

Dmii-i take lisinopril for proteinuria. except for the labs i get every 3 mos, how would i know if my k is too high? this frightens me.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

High Potasssium?: You are on the right medication for proteinuria (p), Lisinopril (l). If your potassium (k) were elevated, your physician would have told that on the last review of your lab work. L may be able to preserve your kidney function longer, so you will not have to worry about your k level in the future. Discuss your concerns with your physician. Good luck.
