Caffeine, OJ posture: Could be too much coffee or tea? Citrus or acid urine producing beverages or foods? Erect posture exerts some pressure on the bladder, this can be magnified by a "weak" bladder neck, which does not occur when you are lying down?

Fluids and caffeine: Agree that increased consumption of beverages containing caffeine can make this occur by several mechanisms. The increased fluids will have to move through the body . In addition caffeine has a diuretic effect promoting fluid excretion. Finally caffeine has a stimulators effect of the bladder increasing irritability and urge to void.
