No: Levofloxacin and citalopram when used together can cause an increased risk of an already known problem with citalopram when used alone above a dose of 40 mg. That problem is a prolonged qtc interval. If your doctor were to insist you take them together then i would recommend a baseline ekg reading follow up by further ekg testing during the course of treatment to make sure that the qtc interval is not prolonging. If the qtc interval is too prolonged there is a risk of sudden death.
