No not at your age: Thses can not be growing pains at your age of 43, you need to get it checked by your family physician.It may be related to your lower back like herniated disk and pressure on the nerves, or an inflammation in the joints.

As a foot doctor I : Would look to see if your flat footed when standing...These type of symptoms can occur with "hyperpronation" or flatfeet. If this is so, you an try an over the counter orthotic but likely it will not offer enough correction and you wil need a custom device. Back related pain: You should be evaluated by a chiropractor to rule out spinal abnormalities. If you are active in sports, you may be experiencing the consequence of spinal injury. Or...You may have a short limb. Or...Inter vertebral disk injury could present as the "sciatic" like symptoms you describe. It could be very serious. I would recommend you get evaluated by a chiropractor to be safe.
