Probably: If you're asking if the Flagyl is still effective three months after it's expiration date, the answer is yes. Is it a good idea to take this now, so distant from it's being prescribed for you - not without discussing this with the ordering physician. Good luck.

No: I agree with the previous answer; i just wanted to add that is never advisable to take an antibiotic out of the period of time and episode for which it was intended. Even with the same infection; your dr should re evaluate and if it s appropriate, write a new prescription (of the same or a different agent). Don t just take meds on your own please. Best wishes.
