How is mono treated and diagnosed?

Often no treatment..: The diagnosis is often made based on your symptom patterns as well as lab/blood test which is easily done. Often, mono is mild and no specific treatment is needed. If you have splenic enlargement, avoid contact sports etc..Otherwise, it generally resolves without treatment. In very rare/severe case, u ay need hospital care, possible steroid etc... If you are concerned, consult doc.. Good luck..
